The late Ali Tayar’s work ranged from objects and furniture to commercial interiors and architectural projects, including the Omnia, a mountain lodge in Zermatt, Switzerland, and private homes in Bern, Switzerland, Beirut, and New York City, and his interior design work included the Iraqi Embassy in Paris. Tayar was a finalist for Cooper Hewitt’s National Design Award in 2009 and his designs have been featured in various exhibitions across the world. Ali Tayar died in New York City in 2016. He is missed around the world by clients and fans of his work.

Montreal-based St-Ely is a collaboration between Eugenie Manseau, an industrial designer and Hubert Pelletier, an architect. Their work is based on their distinct sense of scale and their common search of self-contained beauty through geometry.

Nagatomo/Jan (Miso Soup Design) is a global architecture and design firm based in Tokyo and led by Daisuke Nagatomo & Minnie Jan. Nagatomo/Jan approaches architecture with an attention to layers of convergence and divergence to examine the overlap between sustainability and structural systems through the use of digital technology.

MOS was founded in 2003 by Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample. MOS works with a variety of clients all over the world, designing private houses, institutional buildings, urban strategies, research, books, installations, furniture, and other projects that are less easily categorized. MOS strives to engage architecture as an open system of interrelated issues ranging from architectural typology, digital methodologies, sustainability, structure, fabrication, materiality, tactility, and use, as well as larger networks of the social, cultural, and environmental. This open and inclusive process drives MOS, producing and inflecting environments at a multiplicity of scales.

Moorhead & Moorhead is a New York-based architecture and industrial design studio, formed in 2000 by brothers Granger and Robert Moorhead. Driven by the inventive aspects of design, their work explores issues of function and materiality at a range of scales. The M&M studio includes a prototyping shop that allows them to push materials to their limits.

Magnus Long Design Studio is a London-based Industrial Design office working within spatial, furniture, product and lighting design.Influenced by changing human behaviours and industrial processes, the studio looks to simplify complexity in pursuit of elegant-solutions which are positive, understandable and relevant to their audience. The studio works with various companies, in particular those engaged in manufacturing, craft and engineering to develop products that connect warmth and industry.

Incorporated is a multi-disciplinary architecture and design studio with experience across a wide range of project types that specializes in the integration of the design disciplines. Having executed hotels, residential buildings, restaurants, galleries, retail stores, private residences and products, Incorporated approaches a chair, a room and a super structure all with a singular philosophy.

Lerival was established in New York City in 2009 to respond to a simple desire: to make it possible to live each day surrounded by great architecture, even on a small scale. Today, Lerival is an internationally-operating design platform bringing together the disciplines of furniture design and architecture to produce limited edition products using both traditional and current methods of manufacture and craft, in limited runs or by special order.

Carl Fredrik Svenstedt, a Sweden-born, Paris-based architect, works on international architecture projects and industrial design, and everything in-between. He believes in the continuum of the designed world, and designs across the whole spectrum of scale: from the macro city down to the tangible, hand-held object.

Atelier Manferdini was founded in 2004 by Elena Manferdini and is based in Venice, California and Bologna, Italy. The firm has been recognized internationally for its ability to create imaginative architecture, product and fashion design, operating under a work methodology that embraces design as a participant in a wide range of multidisciplinary developments, each one active in defining our culture.Recently completed projects include collaborations with MTV, Fiat, Nike, Moroso, Alessi and Valentino. Ms. Manferdini lectures widely and teaches architectural design studios and technology seminars at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).

Anthony Froger is a French designer based in Paris. He has collaborated with various design studios including Michael Sodeau Partnership, Innermost and Oscar Diaz before leading the design and development of Lerival Lighting.

His influences are rooted in the overlap of natural systems with industrial processes, and his work is a quest for simplicity in form, derived from daily drawing exercises and an analysis of the collective memories that define contemporary culture.
